Chalet Location
Our chalet is close to the
eastern end of the Serre Chevalier (SC) ski area, in a quiet and very
attractive residential area of Briancon, on a hill with excellent
views, 5 minutes walk from a commercial centre with a large
supermarket, and a good variety of shops. It is a 6 minutes walk down
hill to the ski bus stop, where there is a 20-minute service through
out the day, either to the Briancon lift (around two minutes on the
bus) or up the valley to Chantemerle, Villeneuve, and Monetier. The ski
bus is free with a valid ski pass.

Type of Holiday
We
offer a ski Chalet type holiday but with a little more space and
privacy than is available in many ski chalets. We restrict the number
of guests to just 8, if the chalet was being run by a ski company then
they would probably go for around 12 guests. We serve breakfast and
afternoon tea each day, but your evening meal is taken in a restaurant
of your choice, as there are many to choose from (as we are located in
a large town) we consider that this is a major benefit.
Accommodation
The chalet has
quite spacious accommodation; it is on 3 levels, basement, middle
floor, and top floor. The top floor has a double bedroom, a twin
bedroom (both of these are quite large with walk in style wardrobes),
and there is a shower room with toilet and washbasin. (The twin room on
the top floor can accommodate more than two people, there is also space
on the landing for a double bed, if you are interested in extra
accommodation please email us so that we can discuss.)
The west end of the
middle floor has access to a good size double bedroom, a standard size
twin room (both these bedrooms have built-in wardrobes), a bathroom and
a separate toilet.
All the beds are as new and are
of a good quality.
The
east end of the middle floor has the lounge, dinning room, and kitchen.
The lounge has a TV, video, CD player, and Playstation (with Dance mat
!!) and there is a selection of films and games. The accommodation in
the basement is occupied by your host, it has a very warm boiler room
that all guests can use to store ski boots and dry cloths.
Potentially 8 days Skiing !!
The accommodation
is bookable weekly from 4pm on Saturday to 10am the following Saturday.
If you wish to ski on either the first or last Saturday, or both
(potentially 8 days skiing) then with prior agreement,
your host can provide changing and showering facilities in the basement
accommodation.
